QPR to pay £5m for Birmingham's Foster rather than take Green on a free

Interesting. According to the Mail, Mark Hughes has decided to shell out £5m of Tony's money on Ben Foster rather than take Rob Green on a free. With Sullivan's son implying that Green is definitely on his way out, it makes you wonder where England's 666 is heading exactly, unless it is abroad or into one of the big teams' reserves.

Maybe Spurs fancy him to replace Gomes on the bench. Or perhaps Chelsea have woken up to the fact that their cover for Cech is inadequate. Either move might be good for Green's bank balance but would see him disappear into anonymity in no time at all.

I've said it all along, the Play-Off final was his final appearance for the club. You could just tell by his celebrations. Lap of honour by himself, giving the crossed wrist Hammers sign, plus he just sat on the floor to take it all in.
I think Gold and Sullivan could throw silly money at him, and he wouldn't accept their offer as the guy wants a new challenge.
With no rumours of Ben Foster striking up a permanent deal with West Brom, Foster will sign for QPR with Green replacing him at West Brom. Not a big move, but a new challenge to say the least. Good luck Greeno!
